Payne's Hut Relax, leave your cares behind. Hosts, Tess and Graham Payne, pride themselves on keeping their property historically and authentically connected to the area.

Payne's Hut is a specially designed semi-remote sanctuary for you to relax and leave your cares behind, situated between upper reaches of the Mitta at Shannonvale. The property adds elements of surprise and expectation. The buildings are simple, built out of slabs of timber and corrugated iron. A retreat, a sanctuary. Use us as a base for exploring the High Plains. Enjoy hearing about the local a

rea or walk around and enjoy... All the while knowing you have a bed of crisp, white linen waiting for you at the end of the day. Shake hands with the Southern Cross by night!

Thank you to all of our dear friends and family who have responded to our latest news.

We feel so supported knowing you are beside us as we look to the future.
Payne's Hut would not be what it is today without your help over the years.

As it is the festive season it doesn’t allow us to respond individually. We have read every one of your heartfelt comments, we had a tear or two or six (!) reminiscing over your visits.

Take care and watch this space, we could end up your next door neighbours!!

It is with great sadness that we have decided to sell Payne's Hut.
The time has come for someone else to enjoy this piece of paradise.
The reason for our decision... age is catching up with us.
Thank you to all our family, friends and guests.
You have all provided us with an abundance of
encouragement and laughter.
