Community Service Announcement – From Team Montana
ROAD WORKS – Seaton – Heyfield Road – Seaton
Parts of the Seaton Road marked in red are being upgraded, so the sections marked are currently gravel, good gravel but still gravel.
And if it’s a wee bit wet, that would make it wet gravel – so If you go to quick you'll get everything dirty.
Not sure if you come that way? The other photos should give you a hint.
The turn off at Cowwarr.

You have the option of diverting through Heyfield, while your there you could grab yourself a pizza from Heyfield Pizza and Take Away Or visit the bloke Lewyz Quality Meatz who provides the best Bangers, Burgers and Brisket in the World and pick yourself up so goodies for the long weekend.
Above all – take your time – drive safe and use your indicators.

It's on again, Following the huge success of the first ever MDC Caravans and Campers muster in Australia at Montana in 2025, the MDC crew are heading back down to do it all again in November 2026. The Musters are held by MDC to celebrate the owners, learn more about your models and life on the road, but more importantly, connect with like minded adventures and find your people.

It’s a World First, like a Guinness Book of Records First.
Yes Campers, Fun Lovers and Sun Seekers our super star and gardener Fiona has grown the first ever Pineapple in the High Country with a second one on the way, Fiona was a little reluctant to be interviewed for the harvesting and to be thrust into the limelight of success, so I was not self-nominated to fill the role and break the news worldwide, so with team from The Middle of Everywhere and Rachel from The Local Low Down the pineapple was harvested riverside basking in the sun and enjoying the limelight of being a world first, so keep an eye out for the interview on the Middle of Everywhere insta page, it’s a given, it will smash records and go virile across Australia and around the World.
Some followers may debate that it’s not the first pineapple sighted or gifted at Montana, that could be true, but this is the first home grown one!.
We do have the absolute pleasure of living here almost in the middle of The Middle of Everywhere, there is also no way to describe how much nature is willing to turn on a show that we simply showcase for our guests and we love to share Montana on the Macalister and this part of the Gippsland to the world.

Well Campers, fun-lovers and sun seekers, it’s over, done and dusted. Not only has 2025 slipped past at an ever-increasing rate than the years before, but now January has also ended in a flurry of excitement for the year ahead.
We are blessed here at Montana in many ways but especially with the awesome guests that have stayed with us throughout 2025 and have enjoyed their time creating memories with family and friends or just kicking back, relaxing in the river or around the campfire while enjoying being surrounded by nature.

Also, a big shout out and thanks to everyone on team Montana - Fiona, Dave, Woz, Ela, and Cookie for the hours of work it takes to get this stuff to happen smoothly and their help in making Montana the best riverside camping in Gippsland.
The year ahead is going to be a ripper with some events returning to Montana to do it all again and there is plenty of action in The Middle of Everywhere like the ANZAC airshow and the Gippsland rally, check their website for ideas and days out exploring everything on offer.

Now some shoutouts for some awesome people that helped make the past year a standout ripper, in random order and those I have forgotten about forgive me.
