How incredible is nature? (Throwback to 2019)

Back in 2019, Gippsland was in deep drought, and Lake Glenmaggie dropped to nearly its lowest level on record.

While the need for rain was desperate, it revealed a hidden world usually submerged beneath the water—ancient tree stumps, intricate mud patterns, and old timber bridges that had been hidden.

It’s a powerful reminder of nature’s raw beauty and resilience—and it makes us appreciate the lake we enjoy today!

Ready to explore stunning nature beyond the riverbank.

Blue Pool is just one of the many incredible attractions, just a short drive from the park and waiting to be explored, you can stretch your legs on one of the walking trails then grab lunch at a country pub.
