Following on from our last post. I can confirm Brad did have a small black tip reef shark on the hand line that he was reeling in when he “fell in”

So I have been a bit slack and haven’t updated in a while.
So Brad decided that he had enough of lure fishing and would try his luck at the old hand line. Safe to safely I don’t actually think this is how you are supposed to do it.
Disclaimer, I did offer to help but it would mean dropping Lucy’s lead or the camera and neither was an option.
He did catch the shark though!

Lucy living her best life!

We backtracked this week down towards Karratha to a camp called Cleaverville. Currently it is free until the start of May and then you need to book through City of Karratha.
We weren’t sure whether it was worth coming back but decided we had the time so “why not” and have absolutely loved it
We have some resident hermit crabs that come to visit each night, and Lucy has finally learnt to swim.
Brad has caught some fish also if you count whiting in a throw net!!!

So I thought I would give you a quick update.
Well we probably should have gone further inland, but we are all safe although a little bored.
The wind picked up last night so a bit of a sleepless one, but today has insane. We had over 100kmph winds for a good 4-5 hours, and it is still going. Fingers crossed it does to start to die down soon.
Lucy has been awesome and as you can see not fazed by the wind and rain, and has been a trooper.
Now to see if I can get the footy on the radio as Starlink gave up the ghost hours ago!

Cyclone Narelle update

Well our stay at 14 mile was very short lived. What was meant to be 9 nights turned into 2 as we were evacuated out of there this morning as the coast prepares for the cyclone.
Heading inland, destination unknown.
