The Cat has always been more than a place to sleep, and this Artist Residency with is exactly the kind of energy we want to carry. Five days of live creating and a community that gets to be part of the whole thing.

The Cheshire Cat is announcing its first Artist in Residence.

We’re purring with excitement to welcome artist Amber Kingi to The Bungalow this month.

As part of the residency, The Cat will host an intimate In Conversation event with Amber, led by curator Monique Di Russo, in association with our residency partner, 19Karen Artspace.

Settle into The Bungalow and hear Amber speak about her intuitive creative process, the evolution of the works taking shape during her residency, and the role of place, material and experimentation in shaping her practice.

Sculptural clay vessels and a selection of artworks will also be on display throughout the space for the evening.

Tickets are free, but places are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Come join us for an informal and inspiring evening of art, conversation and connection.
