Robina City Soccer Club Inc. Robina City FC welcomes members, friends & supporters. Robina City FC was formed in 1992 and is based at Robina Common, Ron Penhaligon Way Robina.

We have teams from Under 6s through to Senior Men and Women. In 2022 we had 62 teams and over 750 players. In 2023 we will have 7 playing in competitions a level above the local Gold Coast competitions (FQPL 1 Women and FQ Academy League Boys). The Club also operates Tiny Tots programs for 3 to 5 year olds. The Club Management comprises:

📣 FQ Academy League Trial Update as at 14 October 2026 (please check the club page daily for any updates particularly due to wet weather)

⚽️ INFORMATION NIGHT TONIGHT: We are holding an INFORMATION evening on Wednesday 14 October for Girls teams 5.30pm and Boys teams at 6.30pm. This is for players new to FQ Academy League football at Robina City FC. This is a no obligation event. No photos will be taken and no need to register your details before or during.

⚽️ 2027 LEAGUES: In 2027 all of our FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE Girls teams will compete in League 2 (the second highest level in Queensland) and our FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE Boys will compete in League 3 according to a memo from FQ (to be confirmed in the FQ Declaration of Leagues due to be posted soon). In 2027 we will add Under 15, 16 and 18 girls to our existing Under 11,12,13 and 14s Girls. As it will be the first year of Under 16 and Under 18 Girls the fees will be heavily subsidised by the club to ensure the success of the program. Boys will be Under 10s to 18s, the same as previous years.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ ACADEMY TRIALS, INVITATIONS and PROCESS
• Please refer to the timetable in the comments section for the days and times for each age group.
• Girls: Anyone who has completed the EOI can attend the trials for their age group in 2027.
• Boys/Mixed: Anyone who has completed the EOI can attend the first scheduled trial for their age group in 2027. Invitations will be provided for any further trial scheduled (check for Facebook updates too).
• Each age group has 3 dates listed but the 3rd will only go ahead if needed due to wet weather or the number of triallists. Players should attend all trials listed for their best chance of being selected.
• Please note that there will be no trials for Under 10 and 11 Boys as those teams are now FULL. (Note the clause that was included in the Academy trials announcements: “Please note: The decision to conduct trials for specific age groups will be based on player demand and squad requirements. In some instances, positions within an age group may be filled internally from existing academy and pre-academy players following the issuance of offer letters to existing players, eliminating the need for external trials. Should a trial for a particular age group no longer be required, all registered external applicants will be notified no later than five (5) days prior to the scheduled trial date.”)

FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE EOI and TRIALS for Boys and Girls

⭐️ Expressions of Interest are now open for external players to join our Robina City FC Academy program for season 2027. These teams compete in the FQ Academy Leagues against other clubs in the FQ advanced pyramid. In 2027 we will have 15 teams: Under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 Boys; and Under 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 Girls.
*** As it will be the first year of Under 16 and Under 18 Girls the fees will be heavily subsidised by the club to ensure the success of the program ***

⭐️ VERY IMPORTANT:

⭐️ FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE Players will receive:
• Quality coaching from FA licensed coaches, including 3 training sessions per week.
• Coaching as per a curriculum developed by our full-time TD to optimise development.
• Individualised assessments overseen by our TD as per the Tier 1 assessment process.
• Three training sessions per week with a mix of technical, tactical, skills, and either S & C (14-18) or Futsal (10-13) depending on age, developed by our TD.
• Playing in a league with and against high level players from across SEQ and with a longer training season to develop optimally (with an additional 6+ weeks of training compared to community). Once players move into 13-18s it’s a 27 round season plus finals rather than 18-22 rounds in community.
• Over $270 in merchandise
• Access to the Club physiotherapist for injury screening (usually Tuesday nights).
• Workshops and seminars including sports psychology, mental wellbeing and nutrition
• Potential inclusion in the FQ run State Cups that are mid-year. Almost all of our teams participated in 2026.

FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE Under 13-18 Boys: While the 2027 Declaration of Leagues has not been posted yet, a memo from FQ refers to FQ ACADEMY LEAGUES 3 and 4 being merged into League 3 North and League 3 South.

2026 was another successful year in terms of results with a Premiership and 2 Championships. Plenty of Pre-Academy players blooded into Academy along with players having opportunities to play up. We look forward to testing ourselves against a variety of new clubs in 2027.

RETURNING in 2027 to coach QPL 1: Lee Vernon and Rusty Miner 🔥

2026 was our first assault on FQPL 1 following successive premierships and promotions in 2024 and 2025 moving from FQPL 3 to FQPL 1, including an undefeated year in FQPL 2. In both years our Under 23s finished 2nd.

Following a respectable top 6 finish for our first team and top 4 for our Under 23s they are building toward 2027 and inviting new players to trial. Both have coached 100 matches for our FQPL program and bring a wealth of previous experience and success prior to their time at Robina City.

Trials will commence on 17 November. Note the following dates and venues:
⚽️ 17 and 18 November at Greenheart at 7pm (Tues and Wed)
⚽️ 24 and 25 November at Greenheart at 7pm (Tues and Wed)
Then Tues and Thurs at 7 pm back at Robina City FC from 1 December

As posted earlier this week, 18 of our teams participated in the Premier Invitational this week, which is still ongoing for some teams. Congratulations to our Under 14 Girls who played up and won their Europa League Grand Final.
Our Under 14 Academy Boys and Under 12 Academy League Girls are also featured. They enjoyed some good wins across the tournament.

Robina City FC is now accepting Expressions of Interest for our 2027 Pre-Academy Program.

Led by our Head of Female Football, Dakota Whitrod, the program offers a structured and supportive environment for motivated young players who love football and want to improve.

Each team will be guided by a dedicated Head Coach. We aim to field one team in each of the following age groups:

⚽ U11
⚽ U13
⚽ U15
⚽️ U16-18

This program is ideal for players who are passionate about football and committed to improving their skills, decision-making, and understanding of the game.

⭐️ BOYS/MIXED
Led by our full-time Community Technical Director, Josh Black, the program provides a structured and supportive environment for young players who love football and are committed to developing their game.

Each team will be supported by a dedicated Head Coach and Assistant Coach, with plans to field:
Two teams in U8-U13 Boys/Mixed
One team in U14-U18 Boys/Mixed

This program is ideal for players who are passionate about football and want to improve their technical skills, decision-making, game understanding, and overall performance.
