Gotta love camping, but picking a safe spot isn't always as straight forward as you might think.
When it's dry it's easy to forget about flood and how quickly your situation can change. And often it happens in the dark because we can't see those inky black clouds in the sky.
Ask a neighbour about your campsite. Are you in a creekbed? Any idea of the catchment running into that creek?
Caravans float! I wasn't aware of that.
The doors get stuck and windows, because they are not designed as emergency exits, can't be easily kicked out to escape.
