Before the Great Western Hotel, there was the Shakespeare Hotel.

Same highway. Same bones. Same kind of place where travellers pulled in, locals gathered, stories grew legs and Seppelt Great Western famous wines had pride of place on the sign out front.

There’s something pretty special about seeing this old building in its earlier life and knowing it’s still doing what country pubs are meant to do.
