The Sunday foghorn sounding at Low Head is a world-class maritime event, as it is home to the only operational G-type diaphone foghorn in the world.

It sounds every Sunday, midday for 15min. It blows 3 times every minute, as a demonstration and you can hear it 30min away.

Today was a tempid, moody day for a walk on the calm beach with tide out. The resonance of the foghorn was mesmerising. You can visit also same day for further information of its history.
