A little swap makes all the difference. Today we swapped out our baby red velvet vintage occasion chair with the big mama version. We couldn't be happier. The "Miss Wendy" has found her new home and we think she is looking pretty grand! ❤️

*Monday Magic*
Lifting the old carpet in my bedroom today rewarded us with this magic find. The two cent coin was introduced on February 14, 1966, when Australia transitioned to decimal currency. It was eventually withdrawn from circulation in 1992.
Obverse (Heads): features bust of Queen Elizabeth ll
Reverse(Tails) : features the iconic Australian frill-necked lizard. 🦎
To help Australians transition from pounds and pence to dollars and cents, Ted Roberts wrote this little ditty, sung to the tune of "Click go the shears".
"In come the dollars and in come the cents,
To replace the pounds, the shillings and the pence,
Be prepared folks when these coins begin to mix ,
On the 14th of February 1966."

*Monday Magic*
Over the weekend we had the pleasure of hosting, for the third year in a row, the Gympie Showgirls judging day. The judges this year included Michelle Perret, Tim Andrews and Emma Walker. The day began bright and early and ran smoothly. All eleven girls were fabulous and each one impressed the judges, making their job rather difficult. The day concluded with a terrific turnout at the Gympie Show Awards Night with all the winners announced after completing their impromptu question. Congratulations to all the entrants in this year's event. It was our pleasure to spend the day with these amazing young women. The future of the Gympie Show is most certainly bright and in good hands.
