Country town and hotel on a picturesque country road to the Sunshine Coast. The residents (all 21 of them!) showed their hearts of gold to stranded and weary strangers who landed in the town during the Queensland floods of January 2011.

Harlin is a small town in south east Queensland, Australia. The town is on the Brisbane Valley Highway and the Brisbane River, 131 kilometres (81 mi) north west of the state capital, Brisbane. At the 2006 census, Harlin and the surrounding area had a population of 366.[1]

And some silly travelers left the pub only to be stranded elsewhere! Time to go back to the pub: cold beer, hot showers, clean clothes and plenty of food! (And lollies, compliments of Fiona!)

Some of the stranded travelers have made it out ... others are having a 'Hotel California' experience ... you can check in, but you can never leave!
