Over the weekend, Tony and Nev took some time out to walk to the top of Rawnsley Bluff, rising 943 metres above the surrounding landscape.

At the summit sits the cairn, first erected by sappers in the late 1850s. It still stands today, added to over the years by those who’ve made the climb and stopped to take in the spectacular views.

For Tony and Nev, it was an opportunity to share the walk together - reflecting a shared love of the Flinders Ranges and Outback and a connection that spans generations, while creating new memories along the way.

A reminder that Rawnsley Park Station is as much about these moments as it is the place itself.

Some of the best memories begin early - a first tent pitched, a campfire shared, and wide open spaces waiting to be explored.

These moments, captured so beautifully here by .long8, are the start of something special - a connection to the Flinders Ranges, to time spent outdoors, and to the simple joy of camping.

It’s a reminder that a love for this country often begins in the smallest ways… and grows over time.

Construction continues on our Oasis Eco‑Villas, with each stage guided by our commitment to environmental sustainability and social and cultural responsibility.

A key feature of the build is the use of straw bales within the wall systems, chosen for their excellent thermal properties. This approach helps regulate internal temperatures naturally - keeping the villas cool in summer and warm through the cooler months - while reducing reliance on additional energy.

We look forward to sharing more as the development continues.

Bookings are now open for stays from November 2026. Be among the first to experience this new level of outback indulgence.

Earlier this month, Tony joined a group of German travel agents touring the Flinders Ranges and Outback after attending ATE26, offering a local perspective on the region he knows so well.

Travelling with Adventure Rentals Australia, the group experienced the Flinders Ranges while travelling in off-road vehicles which can be hired - perfect for those who want the freedom to explore without needing their own setup.

Coming off the back of another 45mm of rain, the timing couldn’t have been better. The Flinders Ranges continues to look lush and vibrant, offering visitors a different view of the country and how it responds after rain.

It was a chance to share the landscape in a way that reflects how many travellers now experience it - independently, but with local insight guiding the way.

Nev made his official TV debut over the weekend.

Our thanks to the 7NEWS Adelaide team for sharing our story - one shaped by generations of family and a rich history that began as a working sheep station.

From the first sheep shearing display in 1968, to the launch of our Aussie Tea in 1989, through to today as an award‑winning destination welcoming travellers from around the world, it’s a journey that continues to evolve, shaped by its history and carried forward by each generation.

The feature also offers a glimpse into what’s ahead with the development of six new eco‑villas, expanding our offering and bringing a new level of eco‑luxury accommodation to the region. 🦅
