🖤🤍 HAY MAGPIES HALL OF FAME – 2026 INDUCTEES 🖤🤍
On Saturday night, we had the great honour of inducting two more very deserving members into the Hay Magpies Hall of Fame John “Gubba” Woods and Kelly Gash.
The Hall of Fame recognises those who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the history of our club, and both Gubba and Kelly have certainly earned their place.
John “Gubba” Woods was a tough, hard-working and uncompromising forward who proudly wore the black and white throughout a memorable era for the Magpies. A Group 17 Player of the Year and part of the club’s incredible 1989, 1990 and 1991 premiership teams, Gubba’s contribution on the field has earned him a special place in Magpies history.
Kelly Gash has made an enormous contribution to the Hay Magpies both on and off the field. From being part of our first women’s OzTag side to serving the club in numerous committee roles and ultimately as President, Kelly’s dedication and commitment to the Magpies has been unwavering. We are also proud to recognise Kelly as the first female inductee into the Hay Magpies Hall of Fame.
For a club whose journey began in 1936, our history has been built by people who have worn the jersey, volunteered their time, led from the front and helped make the Hay Magpies what they are today.
Congratulations John “Gubba” Woods and Kelly Gash on this very well-deserved honour.
Your names now proudly sit amongst some of the greats of the Hay Magpies.
Once a Magpie, always a Magpie.
