Here’s to new beginnings 🍃

The Bank B&B has been in my family since the mid 70s. This place is my home, Hay is my home. My husband and I have recently relocated back to Hay and we’ve had the good fortune of becoming the new custodians of this old beauty.

We have been sympathetically refurbishing the interiors over the last few months and we will open our doors to you in early 2021 🗝

Think indulgent fabrics, plump furniture and interiors that beckon you to come in, relax and make yourself at home.

This building was opened in Hay, NSW by the London Chartered Bank in 1891. It closed its doors in 1893 and resumed later that year as the London Bank of Australia and later as the English Scottish Australian Bank Company. When they departed in 1942 the building was taken over by Goldsborough Mort. Younghusband Ltd and Elder Smith/Goldsborough Mort amalgamated and in 1972 it was sold to Kyle Smith. Barry and Kyle Smith operated here as R.C.Kinney & Co, a stock and station agency until taken over in 1983 by Victorian Producers. It is now a private residence.
