Looking for something to do over the weekend on the Fraser Coast? Here are our top event picks happening through to Sunday, July 5.
The Hervey Bay Fishing Classic returns and runs through to Sunday with two days left of fishing, fantastic prizes and fun for everyone. Visit www.herveybayfishingclassic.com.au for event details and tickets. You can also enter the boat raffle, with all proceeds supporting Rally for a Cause.
Also on this weekend is The Hervey Bay Gem & Mineral Show. The event is on Saturday and Sunday from 9am at Star of the Sea Catholic School on Hughes Road, Hervey Bay. Browse jewellery, gemstones, crystals, fossils and minerals. The kids will enjoy the Kids' Corner. Entry is just $5, with free admission and a treasure bag for children under 12.
Get ready for an action-packed Saturday at Bull Throttle Hervey Bay! Experience the thrill of bull riding and freestyle motocross in one adrenaline-filled family event. It all happens from 4pm to 8.30pm at the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct. It's ticketed, so head to www.bullthrottle.com.au
Sunday is the magical Mary Poppins Festival in Maryborough from 9am–3pm at the Portside Precinct and Queens Park. Entry is free, with a Grand Parade, Nanny Races and the Chimney Sweep Challenge. Dress as a Mary Poppins character and help set a record in the Australian Book of Records. I will see you there!
