Owned and operated by The Outdoor Education Group, a not-for-profit organisation, Camp Wombaroo is set in 125 acres of open and lightly wooded land bordered by the Jellore State Forest. We would like to announce that The Great Aussie Bush Camp (GABC) has acquired The Outdoor Education Group’s (OEG) Camp Wombaroo in New South Wales (NSW).

GABC has been creating transformational camp experiences for young people across NSW for more than 25 years, with sites at Tea Gardens, Kincumber, and Lake Macquarie.

Our journey continues in NSW with GABC to create transformative camp experiences in the great outdoors!

Our Winter Day Camps wrapped up last week in the Southern Highlands where kids tried everything from the giant swing, canoeing to chariot building! The standout and favoured activity was definitely Mountain Biking!

Join Our Team as a Housekeeper/Kitchenhand at The Outdoor Education Group! 🏡

OEG is seeking a Housekeeper/Kitchenhand to maintain camp cleanliness and to assist our cooks in the kitchen all to help create memorable experiences here at Camp Wombaroo!

Key Responsibilities: 🧹
Cleaning Cabins
Deep clean areas of Camp
Assisting with Food Preparation.
Wash dishes, pots and pans.
Assist in other areas of the Camp as needed.
Flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends

Qualifications and Skills: 🌟
Housekeeping experience.
Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to get one)
NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to get one)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work school hours and weekends/holidays
Appreciation for OEG's mission.

This position will be located across two of our locations: Moss Vale Office/Operations and Camp Wombaroo in High Range, NSW.

Join us for a typical Tuesday in the Life of a Day Camper:

7:45 AM: Catch the bus to camp and make new friends
9:00 AM: Test your balance and team work skills with your new group of friends on our low ropes course
11:00 AM: Hot cocoa, fresh hot muffins, and fruit for morning tea around the campfire
11:15 AM: Learn how to hit the bullseye on our archery course
12:30 PM: Picnic lunch on the go comparing lunches with your new friends
2:00 PM: Pull the release on the Giant Swing and have the endorphin rush of a lifetime as you swing from 7meters up--imagine the views!
3:00 PM: A quick snack of fruit and cookies to keep you going
4:00: Take the bus back to town and go home tired and happy from a day outside!
