We often find ourselves admiring the breathtaking architecture of this building, encapsulating a lifetime of history. Did you know that the master architect behind Maylands Lodge is none other than Henry Hunter. Hunter was a most prolific private architect of both ecclesiastical and lay buildings, dominating the architectural scene in Tasmania. Among his notable work are the Hobart Town Hall and Hobart Museam. But most interestingly, Maylands Lodge is possibly the only residential property Hunter designed.

In true Tasmanian form, we are back to red wine by the fire. We can never guarantee good weather but we can always guarantee a good time here at Maylands.
Our guest bar and lounge is open 24 hours for our guests to enjoy a glass of wine by the fire whilst enjoying some of Tasmania's finest artists. A beautiful piece by .renard.art is featured here ❤
