Day 1 – Hobart (2 nights)
• Explore Salamanca Place and its historic sandstone warehouses.
• Visit MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) for a unique cultural experience.
• Enjoy panoramic views from Mount Wellington.
• Wander through Battery Point, a charming heritage suburb.

Day 2 – Port Arthur & Eaglehawk Neck (Day Trip)
• Travel to the Port Arthur Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed former penal settlement.
• On the way, stop at Eaglehawk Neck, see the Tessellated Pavement, Devil’s Kitchen, and Tasman Arch.

Day 3 – Hobart to Bicheno (1 night)
• Drive via Richmond, a quaint Georgian village with Australia’s oldest bridge.
• Continue to Freycinet National Park – take a short walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches.
• Stay overnight in Bicheno, where you can watch little penguins waddle ashore at dusk.

Day 4 – Bicheno to Launceston (2 nights)
• En route, visit St. Helens and Bridestowe Lavender Estate (best viewed in bloom from December to February).
• Arrive in Launceston – take a leisurely walk through Cataract Gorge, a natural oasis close to the city centre.

Day 5 – Explore Launceston
• Visit City Park, Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, and nearby Tamar Valley Vineyards.
• Enjoy a relaxed evening in one of the local bistros or pubs.

Day 6 – Launceston to Cradle Mountain (1 night)
• Pass through Sheffield, known for its vibrant outdoor murals.
• Arrive at Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park – enjoy a short Dove Lake walk or wildlife spotting.

Day 7 – Cradle Mountain to Strahan (1 night)
• Travel via Tullah, Rosebery, and Queenstown, with rugged scenery en route.
• In Strahan, consider a Gordon River Cruise to see lush rainforest, convict history, and mirror-like waters.

Day 8 – Strahan to Smithton via Cradle Mountain (optional)
• Head north via Cradle Mountain again or take the coastal route.
