Each cottage is located to ensure privacy, with elevated private walkways up off the forest floor, bringing nature to your door and spiriting you toward your own secluded hideaway. Designed especially for couples who want a romantic getaway, each cottage has its own double spa and wood fire, a private veranda with BBQ, and a fully equipped kitchen.

This December, Hunchy Hideaway invites you to experience an evening of rare beauty, tranquillity and wonder.

For one night only, we’ve privately reserved Mapleton Observatory for an exclusive stargazing experience, shared with a small group of Hunchy Hideaway guests and your hosts, Jack.

Arrive at your own secluded rainforest cottage to a warm welcome of w**e and a beautifully prepared cheese platter, before joining us for an unforgettable journey through the wonders of the night sky.

At 7:30 pm, we’ll gather for a private two-hour observatory experience, discovering the extraordinary beauty of the universe far from the glow of the city lights.

Afterwards, return to the privacy of your rainforest cottage, unwind in your double spa bath and drift into the peaceful sounds of the rainforest, with breakfast provisions ready for the following morning.
