This property has been in the Pole family for hundreds of years, passed down from generation to generation, Bill and Esma Pole are now the current custodians of this amazing piece of paradise just 20 minutes drive from the CBD, located in the Adelaide Hills region famous for its world-renowned wines and scenery. Bill, Esma and their Son Graham have together run Shiloh hills for over 40 years inves

ting their time, love, and faith into the land and facilities, predominantly catering for church groups and school camps. Luckily my Fiance and I now have the opportunity to work with the Pole family as managers to open our doors to everyone from all walks of life around the world. Drawing on our experience working an award-winning family-friendly hostel in Albany, WA, has been voted number 1 in Australia. We aim to put Ironbank on the map as being home to one of the best all-round accommodation parks in South Australia. Surrounded by bushland, native wildflowers only found on our land and all the koalas and kangaroos you could wish for there is always something to see; or else head to some of the amazing attractions in the hills, explore the 'city of churches' and the beaches just off the tram line from Adelaide. We want everyone to experience an authentic, welcoming, family-friendly environment. Free from the stress of busy city life, to see the Stars and get back in touch with nature!

Have you met Curry our resident goat?
Curry is in control of w**d reduction here at Shiloh but don't let this little face fool you, Curry is a very grumpy goat. So if you see him on your walk around Shiloh i strongly suggest giving him a wide berth because he doesn't take kindly to anyone getting in between him and his w**ds

Come and discover all of Shiloh's hidden treasures

22/12/2020

T'was a week before Christmas,
And all through the town,
People wore masks,
That covered their frown.
The frown had begun
Way back in the Spring,
When a global pandemic
Changed everything.
They called it corona,
But unlike the beer,
It didn’t bring good times,
It didn’t bring cheer.
Airplanes were grounded,
Travel was banned.
Borders were closed
Across air, sea and land.
As the world entered lockdown
To flatten the curve,
The economy halted,
And folks lost their nerve.
From March to July
We rode the first wave,
People stayed home,
They tried to behave.
When summer emerged
The lockdown was lifted.
But away from caution,
Many folks drifted.
Now it’s December
And cases are spiking,
Wave two has arrived,
Much to our disliking.
It’s true that this year
Has had sadness a plenty,
We’ll never forget
The year 2020.
And just β€˜round the corner -
The holiday season,
But why be merry?
Is there even one reason?
To decorate the house
And put up the tree,
Who will see it,
No one but me.
But outside my window
The rain gently falls,
And I think to myself,
Let’s deck the halls!
So, I gather the ribbon,
The garland and bows,
As I play those old carols,
My happiness grows.
Christmas is not cancelled
And neither is hope.
If we lean on each other,
I know we can cope β€πŸ’š
