❄️ Snow chains are required in the Kosciuszko National Park due to the current alpine conditions.
* Kosciuszko Road between Wilsons Valley and Perisher.
* Guthega Road between Kosciuszko Rd and the village.
* Alpine Way beyond Thredbo
* Snowy Mountains Highway from Cooma to Tumut. The road is unsuitable for heavy vehicles without chains.

⛓️ Motorists should fit chains when directed in designated chain bays, reduce speed and exercise caution.

Snow forecasts are much like The Emperor's New Clothes, most people just believe what they see or see what they want to believe. I mean, who wants to see the Emperor naked anyway, right?

But the devil is always in the details...

➡ What's the forecast altitude?
➡ What's the highest and lowest lifted point of the resort?
➡ What's the freezing level?
➡ Will there be rain or snow?
➡ What's happening with the wind?

We update our forecasts twice daily (am and pm) and as we always say if Ullr shows up in the 24 hour forecast then congratulations, he's actually shown up, if he's threatening to in the 3 day forecast then hedge your bets, he's going to go big or go home by the time he's 24 hours out and if he's screaming at you in the 7 day, well, hey, let him scream, doesn't mean. he'll actually call....right?

24 hours means next 24 hours, 3 days means within the 3 days from now, 7 days means within the 7 days from now (including the 3 days).

As for the naysayers, READ THE DETAILS, those who have been with us the past seasons know we'll post the post-snow storm reports and y'all will forget we predicted them in the first place....
