Boiled water alert lifted for Jindabyne water supply

Snowy Monaro Regional Council advises all residents in Jindabyne, Leesville, Lakewood, The Station Resort and High Country that tap water is now SAFE to consume and use.

There is no longer a public health concern over the quality of drinking water and it is now considered safe for all typical uses including drinking, preparing food and beverages, personal washing, dishwashing and laundry purposes.
Snowy Monaro Regional Council has worked closely with NSW Health to resolve this situation. The turbidity in the drinking water has returned to normal levels and will continue to be closely monitored.
Residents should flush out water from the pipes in their home (ie. leave the tap running for 5-10 minutes) before first use.
Please share this information with other people who drink this water, especially anyone who may not get this notice directly.
For more information visit: www.snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au or phone 1300 345 345. Council thanks residents for their patience and for boiling their water.
