Rivermist Guest House Rivermist is situated in the middle of Kangaroo Valley Township. It really is the best of both worlds.

The house is on 5 acres of Kangaroo River frontage with multiple living spaces, fireplace, outdoor verandah with BBQ and outdoor dining and six queen-size bedrooms, each with its own ensuite. Set back from the main street, the large paddocks, grazing alpacas and views across the valley offer country living, while a short 50m stroll along the driveway will land you in the middle of town. al or a drink at the Friendly Inn Hotel, superb Thai food at Jing Jo and delicious Indian from The Curry House. Buona Pizza also does pretty good take-away pizzas. Pick up a loaf of the world’s best sourdough bread from the General Store (or General Cafe), as well as locally produced olive oil, honey and deli products. In warmer weather, the local swimming pool is a short stroll along the main street (even shorter through the back paddock) and Bendeela Reserve on the Kangaroo River is also a great swimming option. If you’re looking to get out and about, you can hire a kayak and paddle down the Kangaroo River, enjoy one of the many bushwalks in the area, visit a local winery or even pop over to Shoalhaven or Culburra surf beaches or the relatively calm waters of Jervis Bay.
