We had such a lovelty visit at the weekend with five year old Beth and her mum and her mum's mum. Beth was into pretty well everything - feeding and watering the ducks and the guinea fowl, collecting the eggs and helping in the vegie garden. Beth's mum wrote that, "Beth wants to move next door and come help you every day!" That will be nice, (which is a quote from Love Actually in case you didn't know.)

Pump up the Lamb

When our brain damaged lamb died at the end of last year we were all pretty sad. I took her home and buried her in the paddock close to where she used to live. I planted a Lady of Shallot rose that I got from Janet at the nursery, on top of her and I've got to think that the Lady of Shallot rose has dug deep and found the lamb because its growing like you wouldnt believe and has producted these beautiful flowers.

We'd called the lamb Maggie May because her constant brain damaged head-nod synced exactly with Rod Stewart's song of the same name when it played in the truck on the way to work.

People used to come into the shop and bottle feed her and take her for walks in one of the prams we'd been given for the purpose.

Sad, but anyway ....... Now We Have Flowers.

Lamb Needs A Pram. This very cute lamb is two weeks old today. When she was born she was pretty large and was squished so tight on the journey out of mum that she suffered some nerve damage. The consequence of that is that her back legs don't work properly and she can't walk. We're hoping that the nerves have been squashed rather than damaged and because she's such a bright lively creature we're going to continue trying to help her come good. But she's getting heavy. We have to keep moving her from work to home and back so she can be fed regularly. To which end we wondered if anyone had an old pram that we could have, to move her around.
