The Story of Kapunda Station

166 years. Countless stories. One very special place. 🤎

Originally opened in 1860, Kapunda Station was built during the boom of South Australia’s copper mining industry. Constructed from locally quarried bluestone, it became an important gateway connecting the Barossa and Mid North with Adelaide.

For generations, people arrived, departed, waited, worked and made memories within these walls.

Today, those same walls still stand, beautifully restored and welcoming guests from near and far.

From a working railway station to a unique luxury accommodation experience, Kapunda Station continues to write its story.

And after 166 years, the story is far from over.
