The Karrikesh

Our last guests had such a lovely time! They made the most of The Karrikesh by walking to the local tavern Karridale Tavern, spending time perusing and chatting with the delightful Heather next door at Karridale Gallery, and getting creative with the surrounding greenery (we find this sweet arrangement on one of the lounge chairs).
It makes us happy to see people enjoying the space (because we like it too!).

So your flight somewhere might not seem like such a good idea anymore - nor the 2 weeks of isolation after returning home.
Or you could just *tell* people that you are self isolating and be on the safe side.
Down in the wildy wilds of Karridale (25 mins south of Margaret River) in a self contained renovated church. You should be safe from the virus and vampires here.

Have you ever tried to find a specific place on AirBnB?
It should probably be easier than it is - currently you need to put in the town you want to stay at and then add a bunch of parameters, tell is your bloody type and then whistle dixie. And you *might* find what you're looking for :/

So we've added the link to our Airbnb page and have renamed the listed "Karrikesh".
We've got our pinky fingers crossed that this makes it a little easier to find.

Entire home/apt in Karridale, Australia. A converted church in a quiet semi rural setting. the large deck looks over native bushland. A 2 minute walk to the local tavern that serves great...

Calling all curious art lovers - we need your help!
More than 100 artists are excited to welcome you into their studios and we'd appreciate your help getting the word out any way you can.

Margaret River Region Open Studios is a free event, allowing you to meet artists in their homes and studios, for a unique behind-the-scenes creative experience.

The 16-day event runs from 27 April to 13 May. More details to follow!

Have you booked your school holiday getaway yet? We've got availability "down south" :-)

If you've been too busy rushing around getting every to school, exams, band practice, footy training, tutoring and maybe making sure everyone eats that you haven't had a chance to even think about school holidays then you're probably in the same boat as everyone else :-)
One step at a time, right?
Our wood pile is pretty decent and we've just got a new axe! (it's the little things), there's nothing cosier that a log fire in the pot belly stove. There's a long table and the games cupboard is full of jigsaws and scrabble and Uno and all your old favourites.
And we don't have any bookings yet for the school holiday break!
Come down south to Karridale and winter *properly* :-)

The Circus Festival is moving! Same place (down in our neck of the woods in Karridale) but it's not's going to clash with the Australia Day long weekend anymore! Great news :-)

(And tickets to the training sessions might make a great Christmas pressie :-D )

New name for the festival!
New format for training!
New website! (old one is down at the moment! The new website will be ready for performer applications to open in 2 weeks, so prepare!)

Even a new toilet and shower block!

We are quite excited that the gallery next door to the Karrikesh has opened up again! And now selling art by the resident artist, Heather G Lowe Art . Along with Heather's beautiful paintings of seascapes and the wheatbelt she has interspersed smaller pieces of metal, ceramic, wood and glass from local artists in the area.
So pop next door for a sticky-beak and nosey around when you're down there. When you come out of the Karrikesh turn right for the gallery and left to the Karridale Tavern. ;-)
