Enjoy the combination of a peaceful bushland setting and idyllic waterfront location right at the mouth of the Karuah River where it enters Port Stephens Harbour.

There are some fantastic events happening nearby over the coming months:

🚗 Maitland Street Rodders (pictured) 12 September - Enjoy the classic cars on display with the Show 'n' Shine at the Karuah RSL. Many rod enthusiasts are staying right here in the park, and we have limited sites and accommodation available for the weekend!

🏈 The 2026 NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout will be held this year at Kings Park, Raymond Terrace on 2-5 October (long weekend). Only a 20 min drive from BIG4 Karuah Jetty Holiday Park with camping spots still available.

🦪 Karuah Oyster & Timber Festival 17 October - Celebrate our rich local heritage with delicious fresh oysters, woodchopping competitions, market stalls, and family fun. Reserve your accommodation or site before they are all gone.

🎸 We have a massive weekend planned with our spring holiday activity schedule in full swing, live music with Chris Wilcox on Saturday evening, and the NRL Grand Final streaming live on the big screen on Sunday.

We’re hiring! 🙋 We are looking for an energetic couple to join our friendly team at BIG4 Karuah Jetty Holiday Park. This is a short-term caretaker role for 6 weeks or more, starting around mid-September 2026.

🛠️ Duties include a shared mix of front desk reception, general park maintenance, and after-hours on-call duties. The roster is ideally 4 days per week (working 3 out of 4 weekends, negotiable).

🌅 Exciting news from the riverbank 🛠️ We have started upgrading our 250m private jetty with modern marine grid-style decking.

🎣 This new surface will make fishing, scenic morning strolls, and watching sunsets over the Karuah River even better for your next visit.

The jetty is still available for guests to enjoy while work is underway, though our maintenance team will temporarily close access in short intervals while actively working on sections.
