Yesterday we got the call that someone had a very sick goat that wasn't going to make it without a blood transfusion, and we were asked if we had any goats that could help.
Kofi sprang straight to mind, it was already quite late and I knew he could just go in the back-seat of the car like a dog, so we bundled him up and took him in.
He behaved impeccably in the car, better than our dogs, and was the perfect donor candidate, he even helped himself to my dinner on the way home 😅.
Kofi did weigh in at a horrifying 55kg, which is enormous for a miniature goat, and i felt every kg of that lifting him into that back-seat.
We dont know the recipient outcome yet, but the owner was incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to try everything to save her goat.
Kofi seemed to enjoy the outing and im really proud of the little guy for how cool he was to handle through it all. One of those opportunities that was nothing to us, but potentially life changing for someone else. What a super star.
