A lot of you know and love ChefWili ... the last 2 months have been incredibly trying for her.
I am posting this so that you can show her some love and appreciation and understanding for the incredibly awesome food she prepares for you all and the love she has for The Kevi, without her The Kevi would not run and also for some consideration for the staff running The Kevi while we are away, bookings essential.
Starting with business being very quiet this Winter, following on from a generally quiet 12 months thanks to the cost of living nightmares.
At the start of July I fell through the roof and shattered my right arm, losing full use of my right hand due to nerve damage.
Next... exactly 3 weeks later I had a heart attack, thinking it was minor due to still being alive, but docs said it was a major one.
Next again ... 3 weeks later ChefWili's older brother is killed in a motorcycle accident.
Next ..as if that's not enough... 1 week later her younger brother killed in a horrific motorcycle accident as well.
Worst thing about all this we are constantly wondering ...'what's next'
ChefWili is gutted... but i cannot believe her strength...just incredible. Having nearly lost me twice in 3 weeks and then to lose not 1, but 2 brothers within a week....and all this within 8 weeks....we both cannot believe the level of f**kduggery going on.
Today the family is seeing a Spook doctor as they believe bad luck has descended upon them.
We are away for a few weeks, so appreciate the support and please visit The Kevi, my kids and H and a couple others are running it, my daughter Caela was our apprentice Chef, now proper Chef ...ChefCaela ... some may not know she was always responsible for the western food, so the awesome steaks, burgers, parmas and not forgetting the best steak sandwiches that 25 motorbike riders came to experience from Eildon, upon a personal recommendation from a fellow rider... that it was the best one they had ever had.... she can also cook a couple of Thai dishes to the famous standard of her mother, so please come and support The Kevi... but please book for meals .... and have a little patience.
Cheers.
