What do people recall of this - and what year, month, etc?

BOYS KEEP SWINGING would certainly be named from the 1979 David Bowie song but they are also mentioned as "one of the freshest new bands to emerge from 85".

MONDO ROCK AT THE PROSPECT HILL HOTEL

Thank you Mindi Bakopanos for these pictures. She explains:

"These come from 2 different gigs at the Prospect Hill.
One gig was 28th December 1978 and the other show was 4th January 1979."

At this time, Mondo Rock were showcasing material for their debut album PRIMAL PARK released in October 1979 and peaked at number 40 on the Kent Music Report.

The album is a mixture of live recordings (tracks 1, 6–9) and studio recordings (tracks 2–5). It spawned the non-charting singles "Searching for My Baby" and "Primal Park", both of which were studio recordings. In 2009, the album was remastered and included eight bonus tracks

DID RICK WAKEMAN PLAY THE PROSPECT?

A message from page follower Darren:

"Hi. I'm trying to find reference to a gig I went to which I was sure was at The Prospect Hill Hotel. It was Rick Wakeman, solo, small gig. I remember it well, except I can find no reference for it anywhere. I remember thinking how surprised I was he played such a small venue given his huge stardom. I remember he played much of his early work. If you have any insight, I'd love to hear from you."
