An Outback Treasure Hunt is provided for everybody's enjoyment whether it be a family fun day out, a team building exercise for your business or a great way for a couple/group of friends to explore Outback NSW. The treasure hunt will take on average 3.5 hours to complete and will ultimately lead you to our nature retreat where you can then relax,unwind and enjoy the serenity of your private escape comfortably in your glamping tent overlooking the Lachlan River. You hunt for Meteorites,Minerals,Fossils & visit places with historical importance including a visit to CowanDowns Shearing Shed which is named in the late 1800's Australian Folklore Song ' Gundagai Jack'. We visit 'The Kiacatoo Man' a 17,000 year old Pleiscetene individual which was discovered in 2011 at 'Cocus' in an ancient river system. We have incorporated Geocaching.com by placing
geocaches at every main focal point within the Treasure Hunt. Wildlife to see is Kangaroos,Emus,Goannas,Frill Neck Lizards, Wedge Tail Eagles, Red Throated Whistler, The Fairy Wren, Gilberts Whistler, Zebra Finches, Malleefowl, Kookaburra, Cockatoos, Echidna,Big Cat.
