In November 1995, Darren Michael Costello violently attacked and r***d a precious 14 year old girl. The r**e was so brutal she took her own life just days before he appeared in court and pleaded guilty to this pathetic cowardly attack.
At the time of the r**e Costello was on parole for attempting to rob a 9 month pregnant woman with a baseball bat, in her own home.
So this guy does his time behind bars (not nearly long enough time) and gets out with an ankle bracelet as a condition of his parole.
Problem is he doesn't like the ankle bracelet because he says it causes "embarrassment" when people ask about it. He hates it so much he has been busted tampering with it and has received not one, not two, but three “contravention notices” after he either took his monitor off, or was late reporting to authorities !
So he is now applying to the Brisbane Supreme Court, asking for it to be removed. That means this pathetic, cowardly child ra**st is currently using tax payer funded lawyers to request the Supreme court have the main way of tracking him removed.
He has been quoted as saying that it "hurts his confidence" and gives him "low self esteem" and causes him to have social phobia, “I feel the monitoring device is an obstacle and barrier in my way from (sic) being able to try and live a normal life and engage with people".
Is he for real ?
Wonder if he thought about how the irreplaceable 14 year old schoolgirl would have felt, confidence wise, after he r***d her, how was her self esteem ? How are her family and friends coping after losing their precious daughter and friend? My guess is he didn't give any of them a thought, and yet he wants us to consider his feelings now.
If being socially accepted and being a part of society were important to him perhaps he should have thought about it before he brutally r***d a 14 year old girl, or attempted to rob a 9 month pregnant woman with a baseball bat, because now all he deserves is a prison cell and a permanent space on a publicly searchable s*x offenders register to ensure no other child will ever have to feel what that precious child felt, when she decided to take her own life rather than to live with the memories of what he did to her.
As far as we at FACAA are concerned this putrid scumbag should never have been released and should be thankful that he gets to breathe free air at all !
The absolute arrogance and gall of this vile cretin to believe he should have his ankle bracelet removed, speaks incredibly highly about his lack of remorse, lack of empathy and supreme sense of self importance.
Here's the kicker, it may well work. He may well have his ankle bracelet removed and there will be nothing anyone can do as it is the supreme court.
So here's FACAA's idea, share his face everywhere ! Share the hell out of this poster ! Let everyone you know see what his face looks like and have it forever etched in their minds. Never let this child ra**st near your children and see how socially accepted he feels when his very face is the give away to his past atrocities !
