On the big tides, the water can rush in & out a lot faster than the charts show... so COME MUCH EARLIER if launching or retrieving on OUTGOING SPRING TIDES.

Several fishos turned up to launch on this arvo’s outgoing tide… finding less water than they expected. Some made it out on the water, but 2 came a bit late, and headed home without fishing :-(

Hats off to 1717 Incorporated for sponsoring this event and helping kids get out on the water!!!
It was lovely to meet you all and learn about your organisation. It was also heartwarming to hear from Caleb and the other kids as they headed home this morning. There were a lot of smiles and stories about their adventures. I’m pretty sure some very happy core memories were made this weekend.

And that’s a wrap on the NT P.O. Fishing and Outdoors Club Annual Leaders Creek Fishing Comp! A huge shout out to the club, the sponsors and everyone involved in organizing the event. It was a great weekend! It was fantastic to see everyone enjoy themselves, and especially great to see so many kids enjoying the fishing and other activities.
