There's no greater pleasure than visiting a garden in the sunny summer weather.
We have a real treat as we start our 2026 calendar of openings with a crowd favourite - The Barwitian Garden in just under two weeks.
Ralph Bristow is a garden designer and abstract artist based in Barwite, Victoria, on Taungurung Country. For over 30 years, he has created ecologically sensitive landscapes that merge art, horticulture and place.
We've opened his garden twice and it's certainly a garden that's celebrated for its seasonal beauty and naturalistic design. While his work draws on the βNew Perennialβ movement, his approach is shaped by a broad mix of influences, from contemporary garden designers and landscape architects to ecologists, mycologists, and artists from Australia and around the world.
