IMBAC Ski Lodge is located at Smiggin Holes within the Perisher Ski Resort in the heart of the Snowy Mountains Ski Fields. IMBAC has its own 4WD vehicle.

What a weekend! 💙💛

Last Saturday, 𝟭𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 on the Friedl Bartsch Memorial Illawarra Junior Interclub Race in some seriously challenging conditions, and every single one of them did 𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗖 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱.

From racing on alpine skis and snowboards to taking on cross country skis for the very first time, our Juniors showed exactly what it means to have true 𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗖 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁: give it a go, support your mates and never give up! 💪❄️

🥉 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻 — 3rd, Under 17 Boys
⭐ 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗼 — our youngest competitor of the day aged 6 and was absolutely ripping it on the snowboard!

⛷️ 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗜𝗡𝗚

⚡𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲 recorded 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗦! Unfortunately, the challenging Front Valley conditions made his second run a much tougher proposition, but what an effort!

And incredibly, 𝟲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆! 😮👏
Now THAT is dedication! 💪

And then there was 𝗦𝗮𝗺 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 💙

Sam was meant to race with his club mates, but after breaking his collarbone on Friday, he turned up as our 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿, supporting and encouraging his teammates all day. What a champion! 👏💙

A huge 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 to every Junior who had a go, gave it their best and represented IMBAC with so much pride. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. 🥰

And to the amazing support crew behind our Juniors, 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨! 🙌 Your encouragement, organisation, early starts and endless support are what make weekends like this possible. And, as always, you all looked fantastic out there!

Not to be outdone by our Juniors, our Senior club members hit the slopes for Senior Training on Sunday 2nd August, and they brought plenty of enthusiasm with them!

This year, 𝟯𝟬 𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗖 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 took the opportunity to develop their skiing ⛷️ and snowboarding 🏂 skills.

And we may have made a little bit of IMBAC history🎉

For the first time 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘧 (but we’re happy to be corrected!), we had enough members to 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻! 🏂🙌

From refining skills, it was a great reminder 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁.
