End of season closure - 21st September2026

We have made the decision to close our front gate a week earlier than usual this year. Our last night of camping & cabin accommodation will be on Sunday 20th September. Sunday will also be the final day visitors will be able to visit our homestead garden & cafe to grab a fresh scone with jam & cream, mango frappe or Iced Coffee Frappe. We will close our gates in preparation for the wet season at 8am Monday 21st September. Those with a booking after this date will be contacted in the coming days via email or phone. We thank all our guests that have stopped in, bought a scone and supported us this tourist season.

Good News!!! Ellenbrae Station will be able to re-open this morning. We can safely welcome back campers, cabin guests & visitors from 8am. Please note : There is some smoke still around the area and our access road is a little charred, but the homestead & campground is all okay. Safe travels and we look forward to welcoming visitors again.

We seem to be getting a collection of “lost property”. If you have lost your glasses, sunnies, hat or car remote control, please send us a brief description and we will do our best to reunite you with your lost item.

Doggy Daycare - We’ve had our first two pups stay with us whilst their mum & dad fly up to Mitchell Plateau on the Shoal Air Ellenbrae StationEB7 Hike Mitchell Falls Day Tour. Didn’t think you could do the tour, cos doggo is travelling with you. We are happy to enrol your doggo into our doggy daycare for the day so you can enjoy the amazing Mitchell Falls. We also offer this for the 3 hour scenic flights & it’s all free of charge. Everyone meet Coco the Belgian Shepherd & Ruby the teeniest tiniest Maltese Terrier we’ve ever met. Both quietly content to chill out in the homestead with us for the day.

Live and work on one of the Kimberley’s most iconic outback stations!

Ellenbrae Station is located approximately 230km west of Kununurra along the legendary Gibb River Road and is seeking enthusiastic team members to join us for an immediate start.

Position Duties

* Housekeeping and cleaning
* Kitchen hand duties
* Front of house/customer service
* General station hospitality tasks

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking fit, reliable and energetic people who:

* Enjoy hands-on work
* Aren’t afraid of hard work
* Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Can work under pressure in a fast paced environment
* Can work independently and as part of a small team
* Are keen for a genuine Kimberley adventure

Just a reminder, Ellenbrae Station is closed to public camping tonight Tuesday 19th May due to the Gibb Challenge Charity Bike Ride. The homestead cafe & garden is still open for scones, cold drinks, tea & coffee from 8am - 4pm.
