Welcome to our lovely Hippie Hideaway in tropical Far North Queensland! You can try out Off-Grid Living for a few days in paradise, glamping with solar power, rainwater, hot shower and kitchen, all set up in this idillic little bush cabin in the Kuranda rainforest. You'll need a 4WD to get down the driveway which is steep and sometimes slippery (otherwise park in the clearing and take a 3-4 minute walk to get to the cabin and camping area).
5 acres of rainforest and some shelter from the rain, what more could you ask for! This takes camping to a more comfortable next-level.
$165/night (minimum 3 nights) glamping - you can use the King bed upstairs, and BYO swags or tents inside/undercover or outside under the trees ... Extra guests welcome with their own camping gear, there is room for up to 3 vehicles.
There is a fire pit and firewood available at the cabin, along with a full kitchen, living space and a hot shower/bath. Walk into the rainforest to find the dunny and enjoy total privacy! Camp out with the fire or sleep in the King bed upstairs, it's up to you. This is your own private slice of heaven so feel free to roam.....! Keep a look out for stripy possums near the house in the early evening :)
Enjoy the tropical climate, wild animals and bush walks, and go for a swim at one of the spots down the road. It is a peaceful and private location to enjoy all to yourself. Be sure to bring your own drinking water (we do have rain water which is usually fine), and put your car in low gear when leaving the property so you've got some power going back up the hill!
