We have water🎉 Soon we will have Gardens. The last couple of months has been hard yakka putting in watering systems to keep all of this alive. Yesterday the spray seed went down and we should be seeing good results in about a week👍😀

Plenty of action on the lake today with people skiing, paddle boarding and swimming. Just another glorious day in Lake Boga with everyone out enjoying themselves.  With bookings coming in thick and fast it’s time to think about booking your summer Vacay. (Yes there is a small amount of blue green algae like there is nearly every year at this time. It passes within a few weeks)

UPDATE: as predicted the algae is all gone and the lake is gorgeous 👌

The latest rooms that we are renovating are nearly complete. These will be done in time for Christmas.  New fronts on the end 2 rooms look amazing with their ceiling to floor glass fronts and doors that open lake side.

The Happy Wanderer Motel is perfectly positioned overlooking the sandy shores of the beautiful Lake Boga. Wake up every morning with views over the lake and go to bed at night watching the stunning sunsets.

For all those wondering what’s going on at the Motel. We are not far off getting our water now. So we have had the front yard laser levelled which basically meant just all the crappy weeds removed and now the water will run away from the Motel. In the coming weeks our watering system will be installed so we can put in some landscaping😀🎉

Shane did an excellent job of relocating this hive of bees. The last time we had a hive here it had to be destroyed and it broke my heart. So when Shane said he could give it a go I was excited. Destroying the lives of 50,000 bees was not going to sit well with me this time. His business is Wondermazing Honeybees relocations. I found the process fascinating and this is a short video that he made on the process.

This was the view from room 9 this week. Lake Boga has some truly  magnificent sunsets. In the second photo I was trying to capture the sunset in the reflection of the motel windows. Winter is a great time to come to Lake Boga.

Swan Hill BPW are going to have tables for the Splash Down & Rev Up Lakeside Lunch on Sunday, 12 March 2023 at Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum from 11am with BYO lunch. Tables of 6 for $12.00 ($2.00 per person, pay on the day).
All monies raised go to the Safe Shelter Project.
Swan Hill BPW will be dressing our tables in orange. Feel free to wear orange to raise awareness for our Safe Shelter project.
