The site was leased from the Cross family between 1948 and 1954. In 1954 a Committee of Management bought the property on behalf of the Methodist Church. Initially used for Easter, youth camps and minister retreats, it was then opened to p

ublic at Christmas. The park is now open all year round and welcomes the general public. The park has a long tradition of welcoming visitors seeking rest, reflection, and reconnection with nature. Originally established as a church-run holiday retreat, the park continues to reflect its founding values of community, inclusiveness, and care for creation. Over the years, it has become a cherished getaway for families, couples, and solo travelers alike—offering simple, affordable accommodation surrounded by the natural beauty of East Gippsland
