A wonderful display of lanterns and art installations is set to light up Lakes Entrance on the small stretch of land between Cunninghame Arm and the 90 Mile Beach.

The popular lantern parade is back in 2023 with an extended parade route. Gather between the Coast Guard building and the Slipway from 5:30pm and be entertained by roving performers. The parade will depart at 6pm and make its way to the music stage for a Welcome to Country. The parade will then loop around the foreshore reserve before heading across the Lakes Entrance Footbridge.

Anyone carrying a lantern (plus an accompanying adult) can take part in the parade and be one of the first to see the magical lantern display on the other side of Cunninghame Arm - no tickets are required to take part in the parade (your lantern is your ticket!)

From 6:30pm onwards, (FREE) tickets are required to view the artist-made lantern display and installations across the footbridge. We have just released more tickets for all time slots from 7:00pm onwards. Book here: https://egwinterfest.com.au/event/lakes-entrance-lantern-festival/

The ticketing system is to ensure a safe, accessible and enjoyable experience for all by spreading out the crowd across the night. Over 3,300 tickets have already been booked!

Explore the Winter Foreshore Market with lots of tasty food and beverage options, plus a great range of locally crafted products. Eateries and shops on Myer Street and the Esplanade will also be staying open late!

Looking like the right weather for the night 🤞👏✨

Join in the Lantern Parade by meeting at grassed area next to Coastguard Building from 5.30pm. You do not need a ticket if you are going in the Lantern Parade. Led by the CFA the parade will leave this area at 6.00p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
