EAST GIPPSLAND WINTER FESTIVAL
[Art + Food + Culture + Nature]
Wheels are in motion for an East Gippsland Winter Festival featuring art installations, lighting displays, festival dinners, pop-up events, performances, nature-based activities, cultural experiences, workshops and more!
WHERE: Being held right across East Gippsland with things to see and do throughout the region. A festival program with a series of events is being developed so you can plan an epic winter road trip!
WHEN: Sat 20 June - Sun 12 July, 2020
[Including Winter Solstice + all of the winter school holidays]
WHY: After 3 years of drought and now the devastating bushfires, East Gippsland has been hit hard and needs your support. Winter is typically our quietest time of year for tourism so let's create something amazing and come and enjoy East Gippsland's amazing art, food, wine, beer, natural attractions and warm hospitality. We're open for business and welcome you with open arms! Don't forget to bring your winter jackets, beanies and Empty Esky!
WHO: There will be something for everyone including lots of things for the kids, free displays and activities, plus a range of ticketed events at wineries, breweries and restaurants for the big kids.
GET INVOLVED: We are on the hunt for artists, community groups / organisations, venues, BTA's and passionate locals keen to get involved and setup something spectacular in your area. We want visitors to road trip throughout East Gippsland and enjoy interesting displays in each town / village with a focus on after dark visual effect, E.g. Fairy light tunnels, lit up sculptures, lanterns, projections, roaming performers etc. We’re also keen to talk to venues and food, wine and beer producers to set up some collaboration dinners.
