The storm has come and gone and has done a wonderful job of clearing out rubbish and discarded items that would otherwise be life threatening for our bird and sea life. We have beautiful white beaches BUT have a look past that and the seaweed is holding onto ALL that rubbish that "we" have irresponsibly abandoned. We all pick up rubbish on our walks but maybe while we have the opportunity before it goes back INTO the ocean we can ALL take a bag or bucket, grab the kids or give the dog extra time running on the beach. Grab a pair of gloves and let's do our bit because it is a very sad sight to see what people have thoughtlessly left behind or thrown over the side.
