Every morning, I make breakfast for our guests.

I also wish them a beautiful day. 🙏🌷
After they leave, I wash the plates, cups and cutlery, then set the table for tomorrow‘s breakfast.
It’s simple work. But when you treat something as precious, it becomes precious. I‘m so grateful this is how I get to spend my days. 🧡

One of the little pleasures of staying at Orana House is having beautiful walks almost right on the doorstep. 🏡

Just a short stroll down from the house, you can enjoy a peaceful walking trail, fresh air, open views and that wonderfully calm Hobart atmosphere.

During our busy summer season, I rarely have time to enjoy it myself, so I’m especially grateful when the quieter months give me the chance to slow down and take it all in.

And it always reminds me what makes this location so special for our guests too — you can start your morning with breakfast at Orana House, then step outside and enjoy a gentle walk without having to go far.

Sometimes a relaxing stay is not about doing more. It’s about having beautiful places close by where you can simply slow down. 🤍

Every morning at Orana House begins with the smell of freshly baked bread.

Our sourdough is prepared the day before and left to slowly ferment overnight. At dawn, I bake it fresh, let it cool, and slice it gently before serving. Guests often tell me it’s their favorite part of breakfast.

Our white bread has its own little story too. One guest once told me it tastes just like the bread her grandmother used to make — simple, soft, and comforting. I think that might be the best compliment a baker can receive.
