**UPDATE - Tue 2/11: A heads-up that work is likely to continue into Friday this week. Latest estimate is to have the road open by lunchtime on Friday. Sorry for any inconvenience.**

We're giving Waterworks Reserve a major tidy-up next week. While you'll still be able to explore the area by foot, for safety reasons motor vehicles will not be allowed beyond the front gates for a few days from Monday.

The fabulous walk up to Gentle Annie Falls and beyond to the Pipleline Track will remain open, but bookings for the regular picnic sites won't be available.

The work is part of our annual maintenance of Waterworks Reserve and our role looking after the health of Hobart’s fabulous bushland reserves. We hope to have the road into Waterworks open again by Thursday 4 November.

If you want to explore more of our bushland walking tracks, visit the Greater Hobart Trails website: greaterhobarttrails.com.au

The greater Sorell community is loving the 11km Orielton Lagoon Loop pathway that connects Sorell and Midway Point and includes an easy, flat sub-loop in Miena Park.

Toby Hyatt, 12, and Lace Hyatt, 9, ride the sub-loop of the Orielton Lagoon Loop pathway several times a week.

Read about how the pathway is connecting communities and providing a much-needed opportunity for people to get out and active. http://healthytasmania.tas.gov.au/grant_projects/pathway_to_health_and_community_connections
