Gumleaves will be shutting it's doors to the public for the foreseeable future, we will be honouring existing bookings but will not be taking any going forward from today. To all the guests who have treated the place respectfully we thank you and look forward to seeing you again soon, to the other guests who have broken everything from tennis rackets and table tennis bats, stealing life jackets and even oars etc, sometimes things break but not at the rate that it has been, to many times we've found things deliberately smashed to pieces, you can tell the difference, the littering, the disregard for other people with loud and abusive behaviour, to the group in camp grounds last weekend thanks but that was the last straw for us.
We will open again bigger and better but with far stricter rules, deposits on arrival and if people are seen to be hurting the animals which again happens far too often, the kids hitting golf balls at the pigs i hope you read this they are like our children and have been raised with love so you can meet and feed them, amazingly in the pig instance the parents couldn't care less. This place is a great escape for all people and yeah to many are ruining it for the rest of us.
I'll post when we start taking bookings again and the procedures to go thru. The gate is closed so no driving in please until we are ready to accept guests again.
