We 'escaped to the country' about 15 years ago and absolutely love the village atmosphere and sense of community that Lobethal has. It really is still the kind of place where people make eye contact and smile as you walk past them in the street. We wanted to share that experience of 'village life' with others. We're proud ambassadors for the beauty of the Adelaide Hills and the quality of our local food and wine producers. The northern Adelaide Hills is 'far from the maddening crowd' and we'd like to share it with you at our Retro BnB.
Why retro? Well the house was built in 1965 and we love the sense of authenticity created by using furniture & fittings from the 60’s. It was a time when things were made to last. We've had enormous fun bidding at auctions, scouring op shops and fossicking in second hand stores for just the right pieces. We hope you enjoy staying in 1965 as much as we have enjoyed creating 1965.
