There’s something about sitting above the pond, watching the fish move below and the world drift by.

For now, it’s a place for private celebrations.

But perhaps, soon, we’ll open these doors again select weekends for everyone to enjoy.

On your wedding day, I’ll be somewhere in the background - making sure the little things are taken care of, the day keeps flowing and you get to simply enjoy it all.

Before the day, I’m here for the questions, the decisions, the planning and sometimes just a little reassurance.

And afterwards? I hope I’m a friend.

I love watching the story continue long after the confetti has settled - seeing you extend your family, buy your next house, start your business, celebrate milestones and then welcome you back to Leaves & Fishes for anniversaries, first birthdays and everything in between.

Because for me, hosting your wedding has never really been about just one day. 🤍

Hosting someone’s wedding day is one of the greatest honours. To do it for someone you’ve known and loved for years makes it even more special. 🤍

We first met Sofia when she began caring for our little Millie. Sofia soon became part of the Leaves & Fishes family too — working in the restaurant, the TROVE and tending bar at some of our weddings.

Leaves & Fishes stole her heart, just as Tom had a few years ago at one of his gigs. When Tom was ready to pop the question, he knew exactly where it had to happen. He planned a beautiful proposal in our Rainforest Walk.

16 months later, they returned with 94 of their favourite people - Aaron and I very happily included - to celebrate their marriage.

A heartfelt ceremony in the Colonnade, margaritas and ch*****ne from the cart, dinner in the Rainforest walk and then a packed dancefloor with Uptown the Band, Tom’s own band.

And the sweetest surprise of all? Tom wrote Sofia her very own song. (We have a feeling it might be a hit one day!)

It was beautiful, effortless, wildly fun and a little bit magical.

Everything these two beautiful humans deserve. 🤍
