A few years ago (13 to be exact), Scott walked through our door and joined our team. We didn't know it yet, but we'd just picked up one of the best storytellers in the Hunter Valley.

Scott doesn't do a standard tasting. He builds a journey. Every wine gets its history, its context, the reason it exists, before it ever touches your lips. Guests don't leave remembering tasting notes. They leave remembering Scotty's stories and the fabulous wines.

To celebrate his 10 year anniversary with Saddler's, the Scott Sparkling Semillon carries his portrait on the label, because some people become part of the story of this place, not just part of the team. It was supposed to be a one vintage wine. However, the combination of an outstanding drop of wine and a great personal story has developed into a sought after sparkling, and today we celebrate the launch of its third vintage.

This week a guest wrote a 5 star Google review to tell us Scott gave them the best wine tasting experience they'd ever had, anywhere. We read it and thought, yep, that tracks.
