ADVENTURES OF KENNY – PART 1 🦔🌿

To some, it might be just another echidna. BUT to us, catching our very first glimpse of Kenny, as we so fondly call him, wandering around our property, IS EVERYTHING! ❤️

There is something truly special about spotting this little fellow in his natural surroundings. We find ourselves following him (from a respectful distance, of course 😉) as he goes about his business, digging for his next meal.

We could spend ages watching him, completely absorbed in his little world. It is fascinating, peaceful and, in its own way, rather magical.

Sometimes, we don't need to travel far or plan an adventure to experience something extraordinary. Nature brings these precious moments right to our doorstep, reminding us to slow down, be present and appreciate the little things.

At Alan & Eve's Eden, we are blessed to share our patch of paradise with some very special visitors. Kenny is certainly one of them! 🥰

BREAKFAST, JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT! 🍳☕️❤️

There is something rather special about the vibe of a hosted B&B, and our guests tell us they absolutely love it! 🥰

When we ask what makes their stay memorable, two things often come up — the most comfortable bed they've ever slept in and, of course, Alan's breakfast! 😋

Freshness is our priority, and we grow much of our produce right here on our property, including the eggs from our free-range chooks. 🌱🐓

But it's not just about what's on the plate! There's something wonderfully personal about watching Alan prepare breakfast in our open kitchen, right before their eyes. The smiles, the conversations and even the photos taken of their beautifully plated breakfast tell us just how much they enjoy the experience. 📸🍽️

Perhaps it's an old-fashioned way of running a B&B, but we believe it's the personal touches that make all the difference. It's about sharing our home, our food and a little piece of our Eden with every guest who walks through our door.

And if breakfast becomes one of their favourite memories of staying with us, then we know we've done something right! ❤️

🎅🎄🎁 A CHECK TO SEE WHAT SANTA HAS IN STORE FOR CHRISTMAS 2026! 🎁🎄🎅

As we approach that magical time of the year, it would be remiss of us not to take a little ride into Toodyay! 🎄❤️

The ride itself is absolutely beautiful, with scenic countryside that makes the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. 🌿🏍

Our perfect outing? A yummy lunch at The Rec, followed by a leisurely stroll down the main street and, of course, a visit to the Christmas 360 Shop! 🎅✨

If you love Christmas as much as we do, this little gem is a MUST-VISIT! 🎁😍 There's something truly special about being surrounded by Christmas decorations, festive treasures and all those little things that bring back the magic of Christmas.

ALAN GOT BACK IN THE KITCHEN 😋🍷

We’ve been so busy creating our new Finnish Sauna that Alan has been missing one of his favourite places… the kitchen! 👨‍🍳❤️

Well, guests, he’s back — right where he is so talented, creating the delicious food you all love.

W**e time called for something simple but absolutely delicious. Thinly sliced sourdough, generously topped with butter, capers, anchovies and Alan’s very own pickled red onion. Then sliced into little strips… perfect for enjoying with a glass of Tiffany Rose from Roman Road Estate. 🍷

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the best memories.

And yes… there may have been a little taste testing involved! 😉😋

WARNING: ROO ADDICTION 🦘🦘🦘

I have a confession to make… Time for Honesty!

I’m addicted to watching the roos! 🙈😂

There is just something about sitting quietly and watching them go about their day. The interaction between them, the little dramas, the bouncing around… I could sit there for hours! 🦘❤️

The problem is… we actually have work to do at Alan & Eve’s Eden! 🤣

So, every now and then, I have to tear myself away before “roo watching” turns into a full-time occupation!

But I’m not the only one with the problem… 😉

Our guests get just as captivated. We’ve actually had guests so engrossed watching the roos that they’ve forgotten they had dinner booked! 😂🍽️

Now THAT is what I call a distraction!

Come to Eden, unpack, relax… and be warned:

The roos may steal your attention — and possibly your dinner reservation! 🦘🤣❤️

Living in Chittering IS living. 🌿
