Hello fantastic fandango dancing FilmClub fans, stars, cinefiles and rapturous Radio Springers, a reminder that FilmClub is not screening this week (10th Sept Thurs to Mon 14th Sept) BUT RETURNING THURS 17th and more with some great celluloid celebrations. Will let you know the line up early next week. For now, a few birthday happenings in the cinema world and we note the passing of Tony Gatlif, Romany film maker, sad news. We have been able to screen many of his films over the years. We hope to screen a much loved rarity of his soon.
We also miss Dolly Parton … A rare talent and entertainer who was a star.
Werner Herzog is VERY tall man. Still active in film production, am hoping to find something very rare to screen here as well. Happy Birthday to you Mr Herzog. Last but not least, Nancy Paine Stole, AKA , Mink Stole, part of the John Waters Dreamlanders crew. Happy Birthday to you Miss Stole…
