This photo made us stop and reflect for a minute.
We actually snapped this a few days ago and didn’t think too much of it at the time, just thought it’d be something we’d use for content later on.
But early this morning, while dropping this vehicle to start a hire it hit a little differently.
It’s a bit surreal looking at this and thinking about where we started.
KBT didn’t come from a big plan or deep pockets, it came from experience across industries that rely heavily on hire equipment. We saw the same gaps come up time and time again, and backed ourselves to do something about it.
In the early days, it was just an idea, a lot of determination, and a few incredible local businesses who believed in us before we really had anything to show for it. That kind of support sticks with you.
And honestly, it still shows up today.
We get messages from people spotting our hire cars out on site, photos sent through of our logo out in the wild, or even just a quick “just drove past one of your cars!”
Those moments never get old. They’re reminders that what started as an idea is now something real, something out there working every day.
We’ve always been intentional about where we want to go, building something that genuinely adds value. Supporting smaller businesses, while also helping larger operators get their equipment out and utilised properly.
One of the biggest things for us has been the relationships we’ve built along the way, with both our suppliers and our clients. The trust, the support, the referrals… that’s what tells us we’re on the right track.
This week has been one of those moments where it all kind of hits.
We’ve had multiple vehicles go out on hire, and enquiries come through for equipment we haven’t sourced and supplied before.
It’s a reminder that we’re not just growing, we’re stepping into new space and new opportunities.
From starting with just one car…
to now having a strong fleet of light vehicles and project support equipment…
to operating out of our own dedicated KBT yard…
We’re proud of where we started and where we are going and we’re still only just getting started.
